For the amount that I absolutely adore dogs, it’s surprising that I don’t paint more of them. What I loved most while creating this painting was finding all of the different colors in the fur and expressing those blues, greens, and purple hues in thick, textured brushstrokes. The original painting sold in an art show in 2012, but the art prints are just as great at showing the details.
