This painting was inspired by my travels to Maine in September, 2023. While exploring the town of Kennebunkport, I walked down to the Cape Porpoise Pier to find this beautiful sunset and boats sitting in the serene water. I love the colors in the sky, how they reflect in the water, as well as the subtle ripples created with loose brushstrokes.
