Thunder Hole | Art Print

Thunder Hole is a scenic landmark along the Ocean Path Trail in Acadia National Park, Maine. While traveling here in September, 2023, I was able to visit this inlet along the rocky shoreline where the crashing waves truly do sound like thunder, especially just before high tide. I enjoyed painting the swells in the water and searching for all the different colors in the rocks–from warm pinks and reds where the light hits them, to the cool blues and purples in the shadows.
